Emergence into the light
Every artistic experience begins with a question - one that transcends the boundaries of form and color, a question about the very essence of existence. In my work, I do not treat the image as an end in itself, but as a gateway toward a deeper understanding of humanity and the world. Thus was born the project “Emergence into the Light” - as a journey of consciousness that does not seek to represent reality, but to uncover the light within it; a light that reveals itself as vision expands, as thought unites with feeling, and symbol merges with essence. I draw from the ancient Egyptian heritage not as a past to be revived, but as a living memory of human awareness - a wisdom that still pulses within us. I invoke its symbols as signs of primordial knowledge: the Bennu bird as the beginning of creation, the Tree of Knowledge as a symbol of growth, and Ma’at as the principle of balance upon which the universe stands. These symbols are not mere formal elements but intellectual keys, through which I explore the relationships between light and justice, awareness and beauty, humanity and its place within the whole. On the technical level, my engagement with the tempera medium has been a space of continuous discovery. I approach it not as a traditional tool, but as a living substance - capable of carrying thought and transforming it into visual and spiritual energy. Through constant experimentation, I have sought to test its limits - to redefine it not as a pliable material, but as a partner in the creative act. I found that dialogue with technique is, in essence, a dialogue with the self: each layer of color becomes a field of reflection, and each trace of the brush, a new question about meaning. For me, Emergence into the Light remains a renewed moment of awareness in every work - a path where art becomes a means of insight, not merely expression. It is an attempt to move beyond form toward essence, and to perceive beauty as a moment of harmony between human and cosmos. For every artistic experience, no matter its tools, is a pursuit of light - and of that hidden accord that turns vision into an existential act, and art into a language of consciousness. George Fadel
