I am Cuban by birth, Egyptian by nationality and a citizen of the world by up bringing and philosophy. Daughter of Egyptian diplomats who revered culture, I grew up with a genuine appreciation of the Arts in all its forms. I studied Business in Rome and graduated as Valedictorian from John Cabot University affiliate of Ohio State University. It is in Rome that I first studied the history of Art and in the summer of 2015, I returned to Italy and pursued studies at the Florence Art Academy. I am a member of the Egyptian Society of Fine Arts and the Egyptian Syndicate of Fine Arts . I showcased in a number of solo and collective exhibitions, nationally and internationally. In 2016 my artwork was acquired by the State and is currently part of the Egyptian Museum of Modern Art’s collection at the Cairo Opera House. My artworks are also part of private and corporate collections in Egypt and abroad. My art is an expression of my being.. An untiring wanderer, in love with life and the living; a relentless wonderer in search for the core of humanity in this ever changing existence. In gathering my subject(s) I draw on my inner world inviting viewers to join me on a journey of discovery of the essence of being. Relying equally on my unconscious, and the world around me for inspiration, I try to employ a philosophy and approach that searches deep inside the soul. Mine and the viewer’s alike. It is a constant search for reconnection to my self awareness. Born a female myself , it primarily and intensively focuses on women as subject matter. Often caught in a space between the observed and the imagined, the physical and the metaphysical, my work aspires to transform the natural world into poetic visions and fantasies that attempt to explore the humanity of humans.
